Our Executive

  • Stephanie Piper

    PRESIDENT

    Joined BHS: 2018

    Favourite Artefact: Canon Davies Clock

    Stephanie has held the position of President for 5 years. During that time she has coordinated much change, particularly in helping to define the collection and creating purposeful displays. She offers years of experience as a member of the Busselton Collectors Club and her knowledge of all types of artefacts is endless.

  • Grace Craigie

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Joined BHS: 2020

    Favourite Artefact: WW2 Molotov Cocktail Tongs

    Since joining the Busselton Museum, Grace has taken on the roles of marketing and promotion for the museum. Being the youngest Society member, she applied her knowledge to design the new Busselton Museum website, and regularly maintains the social media accounts.

  • Elizabeth Craigie

    SECRETARY

    Joined BHS: 2020

    Favourite Artefact: Floral Painting by M.Giles

    Elizabeth was happy to utilise her vast administrative experience and Diploma in Family History qualification when she joined the Society in 2020. She has held the position of Secretary for 4 years and enjoys helping out in all areas of the museum.

  • Carolyn Newman

    TREASURER

    Joined BHS: 2020

    Favourite Artefact: Kitchen Room

    In 2022 Carolyn took over the role of Treasurer, applying years of experience in financial management. She successfully manages the Not-for-Profit, and always has the Society’s best interests at heart.

  • Julie Crabb

    ACCESSIONS OFFICER

    Joined BHS: 2025

    Favourite Artefact: White Seashell Purse - 1920s

    Julie has a keen eye for all things collection-related.  She currently manages the accession of all artefacts into our Collections WA database, a huge project that she has already spent uncountable hours on, with no end in sight!

  • Lynda McKee

    BOOKINGS & HOST LEADER

    Joined BHS: 2023

    Favourite Artefact: Commercial Irons

    Lynda started in the role of Bookings and Host Lead in 2025. Her administration background has helped her deal with visitor bookings, creating rosters, coordinating our Hosts, and organising school group visits.

  • Anne McTaminey

    HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATER

    Joined BHS: 2021

    Favourite Artefact: Clair Layman Carvings

    Retired nurse Anne brings working knowledge and experience to her new role as Health and Safety Coordinator. She is also an active member of the Research Team, with a particular interest in local buildings and their history.

  • Keith Tyler

    OUTDOOR TEAM LEADER

    Joined BHS: 2020

    Favourite Artefact: The Dawson Family Bible

    Over his years at the Museum, Keith has continued to head the Outside Team who maintain the grounds and complete necessary maintenance of buildings and infrastructure. Keith also volunteers with other local community organisations.

    COMMITTEE MEMBER

    Favourite Artefact: Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Carriage Model

    Sharon has recently joined the committee and brings years of experience in the education field to the Museum.  She has hit the ground running with creating new programs, particularly for primary school students.

  • Geri Wiggins

    COLLECTION PRESERVATION

    Joined BHS: 2017

    Favourite Artefact: Saddle Room

    Artefact conservation is Geri’s key role at the Busselton Museum.  She applies her vast conservation knowledge to clean and restore artefacts - big or small - to preserve and protect them for the future. Geri also isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, taking on jobs like cooking scones for Tuesday morning tea, cleaning the grounds and facilities, and other maintenance jobs.
