2021 100 Year Anniversary of Group Settlement

2021 100 Year Anniversary of Group Settlement

The Busselton Historical Society would like to thank everyone who helped us celebrate the 100 Year Anniversary of Group Settlement at the Museum in such style on October 3rd 2021. We were blessed by the weather gods and we were very pleased that so many descendants of the Group Settlers were able to attend. Special thanks to Libby Mettam for opening the day, Barry House who launched the Anniversary book, the Busselton Brass Band who kept us singing along, The Old Machinery club of WA who kept the bass line throbbing, the Busselton Veteran Car Club with their wonderful machines and to all our volunteer members who worked so hard to make this a special day as befitting the occasion. For those of you who couldn’t make it, please drop into to the Museum on another day. We are open 10-4, Wednesday to Monday.

To commemorate this anniversary the Society published a book that celebrates Group Settlement in the Busselton area and surrounds. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of this book please email the Secretary to place your order.
