04 Sep Schools Open Day October 11 and 12 – 2017
The Museum is happy to announce the 2017 Schools Open Day – a visit by your class will help bring to life the Curriculum “Local History” section. We will be open on both days from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the children are welcome to have their morning tea and lunch in the museum grounds.
Each year the children who visit our beautiful Historic Museum gain a wealth of information whilst participating in a fun excursion.
Some of the hands on activities include – rope making; butter making; old time games and typing on ‘old time’ typewriters, there will even be a teacher in the old school house for a taste of old style lessons as well as staff on hand to pass on their yester year knowledge.
